activities with other sororities
I am Scholarship for my chapter and so the social chair is on my team. We've been talking a lot this summer about plans we have for this year. We both are interested in doing like a mixer type function with one or maybe all 3 other sororites on our campus. However, we really only have a good relationship with 2 of the 3 other sororities. Anyhow, when we discussed this idea with our Recruitment advisor she did not think it was a good idea and that it could interfere with our numbers at recruitment in January. Do you think this is true?
At my school, just about all of the greeks get along (for the most part), but when it is time for Recruitment, it seems that some sororites "change their tactics." Two of the other sororities currently have a fiesta function with each other and they seem to do fine. Do any of you currently have functions with other sororities or have you wanted to but were prevented? I'd just like to hear your thoughts on this.
