Thanks, Marie. Doesn't this just infuriate you?!?

I'd love to find out where these sellers find all these GLO badges. To quote Patrick from "Spongebob Squarepants," "Who ARE you people?"

Most appear to be estate sales. Someone dies, they hire someone to come in and sell off everything. I really don't think that the sellers have some secret malicious intent. They are selling lots of things. Half don't seem to know what they have anyway.

Has anyone else noticed that the majority of the pins on ebay are the ones w/ seed pearls? Is there a reason for this?

You're probably right about that. That's why we all need to let our families know what to do with our badges. Kappa recently came up with a form with choices (return to HQ, pass on to a Kappa relative, go to a chapter for an award, etc.) so that there is no mistake about what our wishes were. I don't think it's binding like a will, but it's more of a directive.

I think that form is a good step in the right direction to solving that problem, as well.

I've noticed the seed pearls thing, too. Maybe it's just coincidence, at the moment? I think that's the most likely, though. There's also the possibility that they're the most prevalent amongst members or members that pledged in a certain era. Maybe at one time, seed pearls or plain gold were the only options?
