MLB 2nd half prediction thread

Now that the 2nd half of baseball is here, who will win each division and win the world series?

Al East: Yankees, best team money can buy

AL Central: Kansas City, Its LIMA time

AL West: Oakland, they always go on a tear in the 2nd half

Wild Card: Seattle

AL Pennant: Yankees

NL East: Braves for the 12th year in a row

NL Central: St. Louis, but will anyone step up and push themselves away from the pack?

NL West: San Fransisco

NL Wild Card: Philadelphia

NL Pennant: San Fransisco, Bonds gets another title shot

World Series winner: San Fransisco, only because its so easy to pick the yankees to win that I won't

I like your picks, except switch around Seattle and the A's - I think Seattle is just too sick this year.

The way the Yanks have been without Jeter and Williams at full strength makes me think they're in for a big second half (although I hate the acquisition of Benitez).

The scary thing about San Francisco is that Alfonzo has been awful this year - if he has a good second half, they're that much better.

I think the Twins are going to make a run, because their pitching isn't THAT bad (and adding Santana to the rotation is a good thing, in my opinion).

In the NL Central, I think it will be interesting to see how Wood, Prior and Zambrano do with the Cubs depending so much on their arms. Sammy is on a tear, and if Alou and Patterson can hit well it should be interesting (although I think St. Louis will break away towards the end).

All in all it should be an interestin second half.

Collin

GO A'S!!!!!!!

I think that the A's are going to blow all the teams away again with another 20+ wins in a row. I love everything about them, and I hope that they get ot the World Series this year. If not them then I hope that the Giants get there and win. I really wished they had won last year.
What would be even nicer is if the World Series was to be a battle of the bay again!!!!

Detroit will break the single season loss record of 120 set by the 69 Mets. Unfortunatly I wanted my Padres to do it, but they decided to start trying.

I had hoped so... but they are playing just good enough to where they are above the pace for 40 wins. However... they could go on a 14 game losing streak. That would help things

Braves for the Series

All the Wild Card Races are gonna be tight, down to the last week or even game type races. Should be an exciting playoffs.

Sorry Pro Fanatics, Screw MLB!!!

Give me Northern Leauge and My T-Bones, leading the West in the second 1/2 of the Season!

Give me Semi Pro Ball, where it is really played!

If I had My choice of seeing the Royals or the T-Bones +++ for The T-Bones!!!!

BaseBall in the way it should be played. Cheaper Beers/Food/Free Parking and intertainment!

What are you talking about Tom? Everyone knows thaa baseball is about salary caps, players unions, negotiations, and spending over 200$ for a family of four.

Well, the Padres consist of a Triple A type roster, does that count?
