Men
Can't live with 'em...
Details when I'm a little calmer. For now, suffice it to say that my husband is no longer allowed to drive my car.

I think the appropriate end to the quote is
"...and ya can't kill 'em." lol

The promised details...
I lent my car to my husband last week. When he came home on Thursday and parked the car, he didn't close the door all the way, so the courtesy light stayed on. So, naturally, this morning when I had to drive to work, I found that the battery was completely flat. Completely. Zero charge.
My husband had just left for work a few minutes earlier, so I tried to get him to come back and jump start my car (since he was responsible, and all). Called his cell phone - no answer. Paged him - no answer. Turns out he'd turned his cell phone off and left his pager at home so that he could drive to work in peace.
I finally did get the car jumped and got to work only an hour and a half late. "Only" ... I'm paid hourly.
Kevlar, my husband's idea of car maintenance is: call the mechanic. Did I mention he has 2 degrees in mechanical engineering??
LuaBlanca, sorry about your car. That's a little worse than a flat battery

My man left me for a week to go to Miami with his boys. I can't decide if this is a good thing or not!

That’s pretty bad, I guess my family is old fashioned but you weren’t allowed to drive until you were responsible enough to properly maintain a vehicle on your own.
/edit:That’s not a knock on you; I just find it odd that a grown man wouldn’t want to personally maintain his family’s vehicles.

That gave me a chuckle too.
Sorry about your car. On the bright it was only a dead battery. Maybe it's due to my job (auto liability claims) but I was totally waiting for a story about him backing into something.
As for maintaining vehicles, my dad's idea of maintance is also, "Hon, I think it may be time for an oil change. You should take it to Jiffy Lube." He does know how to change the oil filter though. So he's got that all over me. I'm just proud that I can check my oil and add washer fluid.
