I was trying to use the search function but everytime i typed in for example pi AND phi (and what ever else i was looking for) i always got this msg:
The search term you specified (phi) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.

If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.
could someone help me please?

as noted under the box where you type in what's you're looking for:

Basic query: separate your search terms with spaces.

Advanced query: Join words with AND, OR and NOT to control your search in more detail.
Add asterisks (*) to use wild cards in your search (*bullet* matches vBulletin etc.)

these search "tricks" aren't unique to GC, they're Boolean search values that are suggested with every decent search engine on the internet. the wild cards don't have to go at the end and the methods can be combined. for example, if you search for "*pi* AND beta AND Phi*" (without the quotes) i'm sure you'll find something close to what you're looking for.
