Question So what do you think...

Okay, so I just read this article and I was just wondering what you would want to be done. Personally, if it was another KD chapter I'd be terribly disappointed and while I'd not want something bad to happen to them, I'd want them to be held a bit more responsible for their actions and embarassing the chapter and the sorority as a national organization. I'm by NO means trying to talk bad about other GLO's because I know stuff like this happens in ALL of them, but I was just wondering what other people had to say about this cause I know a lot of people think only individuals should be punished (like it happened here), but sometimes I think the group should learn the lesson as a whole because while other people may not have personally done wrong they obviously didn't do much to stop it... I dunno!

Sorority Kicked Out Of City Museum For Public Drunkenness

By Sharon Stevens
Education Reporter

(KSDK) - A sorority party ended abruptly when several members allegedly got drunk and passed out in front of several young children.

It happened at the City Museum Friday night at the annual formal dance, hosted by the Alpha Phi sorority.

The Washington University chapter of Alpha Phi will not face sanctions at this time. But everyone involved describes what happened as a very bad situation.

The cash bar was reserved for those 21 and older, but City Museum officials say several sorority members, some under-age, and their dates were intoxicated when they arrived at 8:00 p.m.

One girl reportedly passed out in front of a group of Girl Scouts and their chaperones. Some were seen vomiting in nearby trash cans.

Museum officials kicked the sorority out at 11:00 p.m., one hour ahead of schedule.

Calls were then made to Washington University.

Karin Johnes, with the Greek Life office at Washington University, says Alpha Phi will be monitored to make sure it follows it's own sanctions. The sorority has also offered to do community service at the museum.
