Talking I'm Off To Chapman!

Well, sisters, the months of hard work and preparation are over!

Any minute now, one of our LAJC sisters is picking me up from work so we can head down to Chapman for Installation Weekend!!!

I won't be back online until Sunday, but I promise I will have all the details for you.

Ladies, we have a brand new chapter joining the Alpha Gam Family tomorrow! I am so excited I can hardly stand it, LOL!

See you Sunday!

Maria,

I'm sorry that I couldn't be there this weekend...I couldn't miss that stupid Saturday class during Spring Break. Please give the girls my love and aloha!

Hi Girls! I'm back, and I'm exhausted (LOL) but it was worth every second!

Friday night we had an Alumnae Welcome and Fireside. There were SO many Alpha Gams there--we had 41 chapters represented at the events this weekend!

The colony, Delta Pi and Delta Omicron chapters did some songs and cheers for the alumnae at Fireside. The Pearl Sisters gave the colony members gifts, and we just mingled and had a wonderful time.

We all woke up at the crack of dawn yesterday to get ready for Initiation. The Delta Pi and Delta Omicron teams did an amazing job. Initiation was very moving--we had FIVE services, and then two Installation services. Many of us were crying when the Delta Tau chapter was declared officially installed.

There were around 200 people attending the Installation luncheon. We did the traditional series of toasts and responses. They then unveiled the Charter and the Illuminated Purpose and Armorial Bearings. The Alumnae Chapter framed them gorgeously!!!

We also got to ooh and aah over the Installation gifts, the table with all the congratulations notes from all over the US and Canada, and the scrapbook tables.

I am SO proud of these girls, and SO proud of the Installation Team, the Initiation Teams, and the local alumnae who worked so hard to make this weekend happen. You could sense the awareness that history was occurring in front of our eyes! I am very proud to be an Alpha Gam.

Please join me in giving a very hearty welcome to our newest chapter--DELTA TAU at Chapman University!!!

This is really sad and I was apart of the Installation service here at Georgetown, but I can't remember why you would need to have two installation services??? I can totally understand the 5 other services (we had two different groups with a totally of 5 or 7 services, I remember that it was an odd number).

Arin

PM me with the answer if you want

No problem--one installation service for the Delta Tau Chapter, one installation service for the Alumnae Chapter.

That's right now I remember! Is it only me, but don't you think that it isn't till the next initation that you really get it. Something just clicks. I at least felt that way.
