Recs for graduate program

Tricky question.

I mailed off for recs. from my old professors. They wrote glowing recs. But one of them misspelled some stuff and his typing-yes typing not word processing-was horrible. He didn't use white out, he'd just XXXX over it. Should I submit it or not. I am afraid to ask him for another.I don't want to insult him. He's a great professor.

Will a sloppy rec reflect poorly on me or do professors kind of know how busy each other is?I am really worried.

All the programs I applied to asked me to waive my rights to see the recs when I submitted them. Didn't your programs do the same?

However, I don't think it will matter. I'm sure grad programs recognize that not all profs are English whizzes and that not all of them have come into the computer age. What matters is what they said about you, and it sounds like you're golden there.
