The University of Alabama, which has held delayed rush for the past several years, has decided to return formal fall recruitment to the week before classes begin.
NPC formal recruitment will begin on August 13. Classes start on August 20.

I'm glad. With as huge a rush as Bama has, I can not imagine how awful it would be to weave dozens of parties throughout days of classes. Omigosh, and how could you remember PNMs' faces with all the things you have to remember for class?
I'm glad, too! But they didn't weave the parties in with classes that much... rush was largely held over two weekends with usually only one day of parties (we call it "serious night" but I think most of you call it "pref") held late on Monday.
Anyway, I am thrilled with the decision! I just wish they had decided to do this earlier. Or, better yet, never changed it in the first place.
