What is wrong with me?

I wake up to my roommate's pet
She neglects this dog until at night
And then the dog is hyper all night long
Poor thing
And I think 'stupid girl. . .doesn't she know'

One of my sorority sisters has a hot boyfriend
Notorious for not staying with one girl longer than 6 months
I see him at the club every week with this one girl
It's like he wants me to tell her
But I can't because I don't know
I just don't care anymore
And I think 'stupid girl. . .doesn't she know'

There's a girl at work
She's got 2 kids from this guy
He keeps saying that he's going to marry her
But every day, someone else at work gets engaged
And she complains about this guy
And I think 'stupid girl . . .why doesn't she just'

A close guy friend of mine
Got pressured within the year that he was dating this girl
To get engaged to her, get a house in his name, buy a new car
He just got out of college
And she told him that it was the right time
He's having an affair with this black chick at work(not me)
His fiancee found out about it and FORGAVE him
He's been seen with this chick 4 times
Since he's promised his fiancee that he wouldn't do it again
And instead of thinking 'stupid girl. . .why doesn't she just'

I think 'why are girls like this?'

I gotta agree with some of the things that you said, but remember that it's often hard to realize that you are being a stupid girl until someone points it out to you. Kinda like how it's easier to give advice than listen to your own. And I also agree that boys can be just as stupid sometimes! Hehe...gotta love life sometimes

Boys do stupid things too.

My bf married his ex wife because he wanted to help her escape an abusive family and get her a green card. Nice gesture, but they never really were in love, and they are now divorced and have a child.

My though was, stupid boy why didn't you just help her get a job???

We all know someone who fits those descriptions...it's sad, because I've always wondered how otherwise intelligent, beautiful, confident women can be SO STUPID when it comes to men...I don't know, is it just the emotions of being in love that blind you to rationality and reality? Could someone please explain?

Men are stupid too, but I'm dealing with a lot of stupid girls around me right now. When I can be more objective, I'll discuss that.

i think that girls seriously have a fear of being alone
which is fine by me
i'm not going to let some 'one minute man' determine how he's going to fit into my life
you've got to be kidding me
and the sad part about it is that girls seriously think that they can't raise kids unless it's with someone
personally, i've seen more women get divorced and end up alone. . .having to start all over again. . .by themselves

it's like they should learn to be male independent first
then get a husband
and in the event of divorce, you can still get up every morning and feel like you can still accomplish something

There are SO many people who just don't want to be alone. Even at a school like mine, where I imagined I'd be around lots of independent, strong, intelligent women, there are more women who will stay with, and get back together with, all sorts of idiots (abusive, cheating, toxic) men--because they want the companionship; than women who have the strength to get out of a bad relationship and have to be "subjected" to a few girls' nights out. Sometimes I wonder why my best friends are guys...then I remember.

i hang out with guys all of the time

sometimes i wonder why i'm in a sorority
then, i look in my closet at the tons of clothes i own
and all of the girlie things in my room
and the obession with smelling good things that i have
and i remember. . .

girls can't get in fraternities
