There are never-ending stories about my roommates and how they annoy me, but this is a golden one...
So I'm sitting at the kitchen table with a house friend of ours and my roommate. The friend and the roommate were having a very calm, not very in-depth, religous discussion. So the friend asks her 'Hm....you seem...are you Christian??' and shes like "hey, yeah I am!'. And he looks at me and he's like "Are you .. hmm.. Catholic??' and I'm like "No"....So he asks me what my faith is and I tell him that I'm not real religous and haven't been to church in like 9 years, but I'm Unitarian Universalist". So what, right?? That's what I thought... I mean, everyone is entitled to their beliefs, and I'm a firm believer in that.. Now, the friend was likle "really, that's very interesting, would you mind if I asked you some question sabout it??"... Which was fine... I don't mind answernig questions at all. Well my roommate turns around and says (because she's absent-minded as F*ck, not because she's malicious) "Ohhhhhh, I've heard about people like YOU before".
What?!?! Like I said, she wasn't being sh*tty, but dayam!!! Have some common sense before you open your mouth!!! Then she started asking me all these stupid questions like 'You're all atheists, aren't you??'.. "None of you believe in God, right??"... "Isn't it kind of like a cult?" I'm like NO!!
Does anyone else find this to be kind of rude..or at least hella ignorant????
