Just received this from NACAC. I don't know any grandparents that are
caregivers, but thought you all might. Please share this with them. They
can earn $60 for participating.
Caregiving Grandparents Sought for Survey
Grandparents raising grandchildren are asked to complete a telephone
survey on the stress, coping, and well-being of grandparents conducted by
Kent State University. Those grandparents who are eligible to participate
must:
* Provide full-time care to at least one grandchild between the ages of
4-16 years
* Have been caring for their grandchild for at least 3 months
* Provide care without either of the grandchild's parents also residing
in the home on a regular basis.
Grandparents who complete the entire survey will be paid $60.00.The
survey involves a brief screening interview followed by two additional
interviews lasting about 25 minutes each. All interviews will take place
over the telephone and concern key issues experienced by caregiving
grandparents. Your participation is important because the findings may lead
to better services for caregiving grandparents and their families. This
survey is funded by the National Institutes of Health and approved by the
Institutional Review Board at Kent State University.
