Ridiculously stupid lines in a movie.

Don't know if this has been done before, but new people on GC=new opinions. One of the threads got me thinking about this. I never liked this line. Some thought it was soooo "deep". I thought it was a bunch of bunk.

From "Love Story". "Love means never having to say you're sorry."

That is the biggest piece of dribble I can come up with. Not a thread for debate as mush as wanting to know what lines YOU think are basically FOS!

If you can't think of a movie, throw in a song like-
"MacArthur Park is melting in the dark
All the sweet, green icing flowing down
Someone left the cake out in the rain
I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oh, no!"

I don't really have any bad movies lines, but JAM, that icon is disgusting... haha.

Oh wait, yeah I do... "You had me at hello"... BLEH.

Also, the song that is now on that Geico commercial... something about

Sometimes when we touch
The honesty's too much
And I have to close my eyes and... hide (maybe?)

I wanna hold you till I die
Till we both break down and cry...

I mean really... YUCK.

Maybe this is just something I don't understand....

Lenny Kravitz-
Once you dig in, you'll find it coming out the other side.

Are these even the right words?????? If so, what does it mean? Sounds like he's talking about food poisoning and that's really gross!

"Hasta la vista, baby"

It was just a stupid thing for a "terminator" to say, especially the Baby party. Plus, it spurrned a bunch of people saying it all the time - very annoying!!!!

You Eighties children might remember Wham's song, "Careless Whisper". One of the lines is....

"I'm never gonna dance again, guilty feet have got no rhythm"

OMG, I WAS SO GOING TO POST THIS!

KillarneyRose, no way, Wham's lyrics were deep.

Wake me up before you go-go.

"I'm Tony Montana, f*** you." Which basically was the entire dialogue in Brian DePalma's Scarface.

I agree, that line is classic! I't deep or moving, but it's still a great line.

"I'm Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die." Princess Bride

I love this movie. This line isn't ridiculously stupid, it's just funny.

As for Dirty Dancing, it's a good movie with a really bad, but memorable, line that haunts me to this day.

I think it holds a record in how many times the F-word was used in a film... something like 200+ instances. Some memorable groaners:

"I'm Tony Montana! Jou f*ck wit' me, jou f*ckin' wit' de best!"
"Manolo! 'Choot dat piece o' chit!"
"Say good night to de bad guy!"
"Maybe you can handle yourself one of them First Class tickets to the resurrection" / "F*ckin' punk! Son of a b*tch!" / "So long, Mel; Have a good trip" / "F*ck you!" (Tony shooting Mel)
"F*ck Gaspar Gomez, and f*ck the f*ckin' Diaz brothers! F*ck'em all! I bury those c*ck-a-roaches!" (Tony to Frank)

I can't believe anyone would knock Wham or Dirty Dancing... ahhh, the memories!

I used to make my sister do "the lift" with me!
