Business dress (i.e. badge attire) = no jeans or t-shirts. You don't necessarily have to wear a dress. You can wear a skirt or slacks. As far as khakis go, some girls in my chapter do wear their badge while wearing khakis, but they dress up the khakis with a nice top, jewelry, etc. I would say that it would be best not to go with khakis unless you were going to dress them up.

I am wearing my badge to my 8-5 job tomorrow but won't be wearing it to my evening job (at Target). At Target I will be in khakis and a red shirt, nothing dressy, which makes me sad because I really wanted to wear my badge all day. I miss wearing it.

WEAR IT! It's jewelry and your pride and joy! I wore mine with nice jeans and a nice blouse this past weekend for a alumnae group function! There is no "rule" that you can't wear your badge with jeans, but of course you want to take personal responsibility for your presentation and grooming and not wear your badge when you aren't looking your best. Some outfits are badge-worthy, others are not.

I received my badge in the mail today and I want to wear it desperately. I only have 26 more days and then I will be able to.I had to settle for wearing a letter sweatshirt because I still wanted to show some support.

I'm jealous!

Midwesterngirl, I can't believe you've gotten your badge already! I'm so jealous!

I won't be wearing my new member pin today - I decided to stay home today.

Yeah, whoever said it's always warm and sunny in California??? Not always true!

.....Sistermadly....I bet you'd wear your pin at home today on your bathrobe if you knew no one would be offended!

Hey, if you can't be silly with a sister, who can you be silly with?

".....Sistermadly....I bet you'd wear your pin at home today on your bathrobe if you knew no one would be offended!"

I swear i was soo not wanting to break the rules, i would only stand in my mirror and put that pin up against my clothes and not attach it. I wanted to see how it looked. who is the biggest goober now? me! I could not wait til they attached my badge to my white dress.

today was the first day i wore it since initation back in November. Oh boy did it feel great! Sistermadly and Midwesterngirl a few more weeks and you can wear your badge with honor too! it is not long at all.....

I really want to find my niche and find where i can be helpful as an alum.

Talking Oh, DUH

When you said you froze, I thought you meant you froze in fear or something - not that you were actually COLD!

Does it show that my brain is leaking out of my ears? I've been studying too much...

CA - a bathrobe isn't proper badge attire... but I think I could get away with a long black silk nightgown trimmed in marabou feathers, don't you?

OOOOH, I loved wearing my badge today! I haven't worn it in a good while (somewhere near a year). Somehow I need to wear it more often.

I'm so dumb! I spent an hour making a graphic for the Tech A-Phi site about National Badge Day. I sent an e-mail to all the Greeks I knew at CNN about badge day. Then I got up this morning and, naturally, forgot to wear my badge! Argh!

I did get to see the Alpha Xi Delta badge for the first time today though -- she remembered I forgot!

Speaking of badges, I saw in another thread someone asked about "creative" ways to wear your badge other than as a pin or necklace. Can the Alpha Phi badge be turned into a ring? Has anyone ever seen it done?
