Elton John/ Billy Joel concert Birmingham, AL

I just got back from the Billy Joel/ Elton John concert that I have been waiting months for. It was AWSOME!!!!!! The crowd went nuts. The whole concert lasted 3 1/2 hours. They opened with "Your Song". Other songs were: Elton John: "Tiny Dancer", "Rocket Man", "Honky Cat", "I Want Love", "Dont Let the Sun go down on Me" and many others. Billy Joel sang: "Piano Man", "Say Goodbye to Hollywood", "Movin Out", "New York State of Mind" and many others.

Oh, I wish I'd known! Crud!

I saw Elton John in concert at Auburn 30 years ago. We had some great shows there but that one was the very best!!!

A hysterical part of the evening: 3 GLOs' elderly housemothers were sitting in front of me (why the heck were they at an Elton John concert?) and every time he'd sing obviously off-color lyrics, there would be these shocked little gasps from them.LOL!!!!!!

Candy, I was surprised at the age demographics of the audience. There were many who were probably in their 60's and the younger crowd of the group were in their 20's and 30's.

I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind
That I put down in words
How wonderful life is
That you're in the world...

I've been fortunate to see Elton twice already...but I've never seen both of them live together! I've always been a big fan--and my CD collection is proof of that!

I'm glad you had fun!!!

I've seen Billy Joel in concert four times, but I've never seen Elton although I'd really love to. I'm sooooo jealous!
