Thumbs up Kentucky Derby 2005

Anyone going to the greatest 2 minutes in sports this year? Since I live in Louisville, I will be there! My friends and I like to spot what celebs show up. That is always a good time.

If you havent been, I suggest attending. The infield is like Mardi Gras in KY. CRAZY! On April 23rd Louisville also has the biggest fireworks display in the country called "Thunder over Louisville." It kicks off the Derby.

To all you "guys" out there, you would probably love it! I know that I will be with all my Chi O girls this year!

For the most part I hate Thunder over Louisville-I went my freshman year at UofL & it was so incredibly boring. If you are going to go see the fireworks make sure you show up as late in the day as possible. Sitting all day watching planes fly around in the sky is not how I like to spend my Saturdays!

Now, as far as the Derby goes, its a great experience. Everyone should go & sit in the infield at least once. And don't forget to bring a flask.

Well, now you have to be really creative on how you bring your booze into the infield. They pat us down DRY last year. That sucked. Beers are like 6 bucks for domestic, so we brought a significant amount of cash. But now police are catching on to where people get creative on hiding booze. My boyfriend and his fraternity brothers tried one year to hide it in a b-day cake. The police sliced the cake in half--BUSTED! So that idea was out.

If you know how to be creative, the sky is the limit!
