THIS VERY SAME QUESTION WAS POSED TO SOME OF THE ALPHAS AT MY OLD SCHOOL. THEY ASKED THE ANGELS FOR SUGGESTIONS. WE THOUGHT THAT THE SONG "I'M BUILDING ME A HOME" FROM THE MOVIE SCHOOL DAZE(ITS PLAYED IN THE BEGINING) WAS BEST SUITED. IT SIGNIFIES THE FOUNDATION OF OUR ORGANIZATION,AFRICAN-AMERICAN MEN COMING TOGEHTER TO CREATE A PLACE OF THEIR OWN. BASICALLY..BUILDING A HOME.

It depends on the theme of your show. Our last show the bruhs came out to So Fresh, So Clean by Outkast. The last show I was in we just walked out, grilled up and stepped.

If you wanna put some heritage in your show, come out on Afrikan drums and stilts dancers...

If you wanna come out with some reverance, come out on Gospel, church, hymnal music (either you play it or you sing it to fit your organization)...

If you wanna come out cool, come out with a tight Rap tune. Personally, I prefer some Go-Go, but ya know out here SoCali ain't familiar--you can always do Jill Scott's tune...

Depends on your school, location, step theme or a whole lot of things... Do you wanna win the show? Then you better come up really tight...

I know Cal State Long Beach's step show is this weekend!!!

There is this song called "Sionara" and it's a Japanese song. It is kinda off the meter. You wouldn't guess it but it is. The beat behind it is flavor. The theme of the song is that what once was is no more. I guess it's good when you haven't stepped for a while or if you have the theme that you are going to "destroy" the competition.
