In the 1960s, some sociologists studied why men join fraternities. Their study was published nationally. Their conclusions were very interesting, especially in regards to why certain men join particular fraternities. But the overall conclusions are best sumerized by this quote from the report: "Men tend to pledge the best fraternity they can find where they feel they have the most friends."
