As an example-lifesaver, that girl that you thought had potential?

I was wondering about Newbie, too! Anyone know what she's up to?

Also, where's IowaHawkeye??? Her sister is rushing at the University of Maryland this month and I was wondering how things are going!

Last semester in grad school went great, but am getting a little burned out with academics, the projects never end. Good news, though! I've been assigned to work on a grant that's right up my alley. My other "plans" are right on target. I can't wait..hehe. I'll pm you some details.

Lana is back at her home chapter in Colorado, and last she wrote she had a new man in her life.

Law school, well, it sucks. I'm at one of those schools that grades everybody down so no one feels too good about themselves. My GPA for the semester wasn't terrible, but it was a far cry from what I'm used to. One teacher really screwed me on a grade, and it brought my GPA way down. Another teacher graded everyone really low - we're all graded on the quality point scale for each class, from .7 to 4.0. I got a 2.8 in one class - and that was the 12th highest grade, out of 72. Something's is just fishy about that.

I'm thinking of transferring to another school, one that's not known for beating the will to live out of their students. I'm also exploring the possibility of getting a masters in Information Systems.

I've also moved out of my apartment (and need to sublet my room - they won't let me break my lease! If your daughter or her friends knows of anyone looking to move, PLEASE PM me) and am commuting. I'm much less stressed living at home, far from school, the serial killer madness, and close to the boyfriend (I see an engagement ring in my very near future )

That's about it on the me-front. Can't wait to hear what's up with everyone else!

JAM you have a great memory. I can barely remember what is going on in the lives of my family members.

I am on a diet. It's going well. I have three weeks until my birthday which is when I hope to reach my goal weight.

JAM, I hope that all is well with you.

SOMEtimes...then there are those moments when I put my
coffee in the cabinet instead of the microwave!

All is well here. Counting months for son to be at LSU. (I will miss him so much.) Working on their Senior Party and singing at the nursing homes.

The best news is- when both the kids are tucked away at LSU
Hubby and I are taking a vacation. We are trying to decide between Santa Fe and Taos area. HE wants to try an RV, I want a cabin. We both just want to get away. Kinda scared that an RV might be a bit "over kill" on the togetherness. I do like/need SOME private moments. Still, if we take an RV, we can add a lot more time to our schedule because the are really economical.

Oh, we hired a new assistant...

texas*princess-thanks for the good wishes! WHAT ARE YOU UP TO???
I am SOOOO enjoying reading what everyone is doing. I hope we all get some more responses. I feel like I was in the middle of a really great soap opera and all the story lines were dropped or changed. PLEASE don't make me go back to "All My Children"!!!

What am I up to? Hmm... I am doing a lot of programming for class. I REALLY REALLY REALLY want to make the Dean's List this semester so I'm trying hard for that

My boyfriend is almost going to come visit!!!! I'm so excited b/c I haven't seen him since... mid-December, but it seems like it has been WAY longer than that.

I am almost 21! (12 more days not that I'm counting ) Woohoo I can finally drink in public!!! I mean.. ummm... Just kidding! hehehe. I'm not sure what exactly I'm going to do for my Bday yet. I'm probably going to be one of those just-21-ers that goes to a bar at 12:01 a.m. just because I can and say "I'm 21!!!" As for that weekend, I will probably spend it clubbing or something in Dallas. I really really hope my girls from the DPhiE colony back home can come up here! A few of them have emailed me and said they would try to make a road trip for the occassion
Hopefully my monster program will be done by then so I can have fun that weekend.
