Try to put together a mix of both serious and fun songs. I have thought about doing the same thing . So I am also open to suggestions! Some songs I've thought of:

FUN SONGS
Cindy Lauper--"Girls Just Wanna Have Fun"
"We Are Family" (is it the Pointer Sisters that did that one?)

SERIOUS SONGS
Faith Hill--"There You'll Be"
"That's What Friends are For" (song from the 80's...don't know who sang it though)
Michael W. Smith--"Friends"

I'll post more when I think of them.

I've been trying to make one for my Little. I do plan on tossing the PMA Serenade to a Girl at Evening on there, as I seem to hear it at a lot of our joint events, and it's tied into our sisterhood for me.

I've put the Beatle's "In My Life" on there for the lyrics, mostly.
"Dancing Queen" because we have a big Dance-A-Thon every year.
"Angel" by Sarah McLachlan is on there because it reminds many of us of a beloved sister who passed away tragically two years ago. It's a chapter thing, really.
Carole King's "You've Got a Friend".
Lee Ann Womack's "I Hope You Dance". One girl did it at a recital, and we rather adopted it.
Poe's "A Rose is a Rose".
Seal's "A Kiss From a Rose" (notice the rose theme?)
Sting's "Desert Rose"
Garth Brook's "The Dance"

So that's the mix I have going there in part.
