Make sure you check out Chez Paree. It is right near Olympic Stadium.

I am the man of architecture and history. If you like the same thing, Montreal is the place. You HAVE to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral, voted to be one of the best display in North America. You can sit for hours and hours, admiring the blue accented altar and statues.

Don't forget to visit the Place Jacques-Cartier. Here you can sit down drinking your red wine, in a street cafe, while watching street performances. Coble stones, Lawrence River bank, French language, street cafe ... you can taste France right away.

And if you have time, please visit Quebec City. Probably 2-3 hours driving north Montreal, Quebec City is the home of Chateau Frontenac (now hotel), one of the finest French architecture in Canada. Really neat city, and UNESCO chosed to protect the area.

PM me if you need more info. You are so lucky, I really enjoyed my time in Montreal.

All of the above are awesome ideas---except sitting on a patio on the river banks---right now the St Lawrence is Frozen except for frieghter paths, and it is -10 in the city. So i would suggest checking out the underground city. Montréal has an entire city built underground, shopping malls, movie theatres, restaurants etc, without ever having to go outside. If you are there for the nightlife there are 2 places to check out. St Catherine Street and St Laurant. St Catherine street is home to alot of the downtown bars and clubs, including the infamous club supérsex. St Laurant is a little more upscale. If you are a hockey fan try and check out a habs game, Montréal is the true Hockeytown (they rioted when Maurice "rocket" richard was suspended). Also get a smoked meat sandwich at schwartz, Best sandwich in the country. I have only been to Montréal once, even though i only live 1.5 hours away, but it was an awesome experience. I hope you have fun!
