Post Luther

Did anyone see the tribute to Luther on BET. I was all hyped to see the show and was disappointed. It only aired like an hour and it was so low budget. The best part about the show other than some of the music was looking at the sister that married the guy Dwayne on Different World (?). She is the B O M B! And for sisters reading this post I don't find her attractive just because of her complexion. That girl had body and I even think that was her natural hair. I would have loved to be there to hear her sing songs of the heart.

Professor what are you talking about , now the character Dwayne *Kadim Hardison* in real life is not married, unless they just jumped the broom recently then "my bad", they are shacking up with a kid or two. yes Chante Moore is beautiful, but why mention her complexsion if that wasn't an issue for you or her natural hair? we all know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. i would prefer to be average and happily married, then beautiful living in sin i'm done

PositivelyAKA,

I'm sorry you are offended by my comments regarding complextion. The statement was made because there has been discussion on the board(s) regarding complextion and good hair.
Additionally, I read in JET that the couple in fact was married and have decided to end the marriage. I will look for the exact issue.

I have also heard that Kadeem Hardison and Chante Moore are already married and are looking to end this marriage. What is up with these celebrities and these secret marriages? Look at Janet Jackson and Rene Elizondo. Please, if/when I marry, I will be shouting from the rooftops that I have a good man for life!

oh no Professor i wasn't offended i just felt there was no need for you to have to clarify to the sistas or bring it up if it wasn't an issue, but i now see why you stated what you did, a little prevention i see was your reasoning. also i had always heard in interviews that they were not married, but who really knows nowadays, i want everyone to know i'm married, i think some don't marry because that way they don't have to get a divorce and for tax purposes of course

Not to be showing my LA lifestyle, but I knew Chante Moore from back in the day. She is from So Cal. and she is an excellent and talented recording artist. It has always been known in my area of the country that Chante Moore prefers brotha's like Kadeem Hardison. They have been with each other for a loooonnnnnggggg time. It would be amazing that she hasn't been married to him for as long as she has dated him. It would be amazing that they wouldn't have had children together. But I could be wrong... Chante only makes my people in my city so happy for her success in this world because she is really an nice person overall--unlike some other not so famous celebrities...

Chante and Kadeem do have a little girl. She's adorable, she looks just like Chante.

Music is changing! I am pissed that I can't go see one of my all time favorites Evelyn Champaign King who is doing the Tom Joyner show this morning at Fayetteville State University. (Don't trip - Evelyn did one of the first homecoming shows when I was in school). I wish some of these old heads would come back on the sceen and find success again - -

NOW, IT'S ALL ABOUT A LOOK! CERTAIN LOOKS SALE, CERTAIN LOOKS DON'T!

WHAT HAPPENED TO CHERYL LYNN? SHE WAS MY GIRL,TOO!

I think the music and the voices have changed. Back in the day, if you couldn't sing, no recording contract. Today, a lot of artists can't really sing. I like to call them studio kings/queens, because the studio makes them sound like they have real talent. Then when you hear them sing live you say to
yourself "What the h***?...."

You are definitely right about having a look that sells. Look at Adina Howard. No talent whatsoever, but she puts her behind on the cover of her CD and everybody and their mother is out buying it.

BTW, who is Cheryl Lynn? I don't remember her.
