UWF, UF, FSU, and JU Greeks

Im an intern at the North FL Multiple Sclerosis Chapter here in Jacksonville, and one of my goals is to get the Greek communities to do the MS Walks in their prospective cities.
UWF's and FSU'sis on on March 29,
UNF and JU's is on April 5th,
UF's is on April 12th
All of these are Saturday mornings. They have free food there, and the local TV, radio, and newspaper people will be there. My chapter has either been on either TV, or in the paper every year in our letters, one year we even had our letters put in the North FL MS flyer because we were the largest group and raised the most money. Its really great PR, and a good philanthropy to work with because all the work is done, you just raise the money...show up and walk and have fun. Ive e-mailed some chapters already, but if your interested let me know and I will be more than happy to send you a team captain kit to help you get started. I know its really hard for us all to get our letters on TV and if you show up in force its really easy to. They have MS Walks all over the US if anyone outside the North FL region is interested.
But for those of you in the North FL region can register online at:

Thumbs up

I just wanted to say what a great thing I think you're doing with the MS Society! I was the team captain for my chapter as well as a participant since 1997, and have even won awards for the most spirited team! My mom has MS, so helping in anyway that I can is important to me. I have been an alumna since 2000, but still continue to participate in the walks with my sisters.

I encourage all greeks to get involved with the MS Society!

For those of you in S. California, there are walks all over the place, from LA to Redlands etc. If you would like more info about dates, etc I'll be glad to provide it!

Thanks for promoting the MS Walks. Since our founding 2 years ago my chapter has participated in the MS Walks here in L.A. I've encouraged the chapter to make this one of our annual philanthropy events as my brother is suffering from the form of MS that will eventually take his life. Also, not many of my sisters know this yet but my blood sister has also just been diagnosed with MS but at least its a mild form so far.

For those living in or near Los Angeles the MS Walks this year are on the weekend of April 12 & 13. The big Los Angeles Walk at the LA Coliseum and through USC (if it's like last year) is actually on April 13. You can already register for the site at http://www.cal.nmss.org/events/2002/walk/index.html The rest of the So Cal walks are on April 12.

If anyone would like to sponsor me they can visit the online donation page that MS has set up for me at http://give.chariteam.com/?x=1x53x98...x98941xnxnx549 I'll be personalizing the page soon with pictures of who I'm walking for.
