Has anyone seen the following movies. . .?

Sorhors and Friends of Sigma,

Has anyone seen Drumline, Two Weeks Notice, Denzel's movie (The one he directed) I can't think of the name, or any other movie that seems to be of some substance.

Yes I saw Drumline over the weekend, and I must admit it was pretty good. I thought Orlando Jones was good playing a serious roll for a change.

I'm going to try and catch Atwan Fisher (Denzel's movie) this weekend after the holiday. I have the book, but I haven't read it yet.

I saw Drumline and it was pretty good minus all the youngin's in the crowd, lol. I saw a short special on Denzel's movie and it looks good. I'm shocked that it hasn't been promoted as well as his other stuff.

I went to see 2 week's notice last night and I have 3 words to discribe it: HOR-RI-BLE!!! I love Sandra Bullock--I think she's is cute as a button and has played some cute roles in the past (While you were sleeping, 28 Days, Miss Congeniality), but this movie had the personality and appeal of a used tissue! She and Hugh Grant had no chemistry, the movie seemed choppy and there was no great build up to them falling in love. I would not recommend going to see this movie. I am a sucker for romance, and usually cry at the drop of a hat, but I positively yawned at the "we realize we are in love and can't live with out each other" scene before the "big kiss". YAWN!

I saw Drumline and I love all of it, the acting and the bands!! It is funny and serious at the same time. It is good to see a positive movie. The movie was able to touch on most aspects of college life - moving away from home, finding new friends, hitting the books, and joining a frat/sorority. The only frat the movie focused on was KKPsi. There were TBS letters in the background and a Que and Alpha in crowd scenes. The sorority was made up, Sigma Phi Alpha (I think). The colors of SPA were red and gold. Go See IT!!!!

Thumbs up

Thanks folks for the heads up about the different movies I mentioned, however, I still haven't taken the time to go the movies.

Sometimes my schedule is actually more hectic than during the regular ordinary week.

Sorhors and friends of Sigma,

Thanks for all of your comments! I guess that I will check out "Drumline" or "Antwion Fisher" this weekend!

Sorhor RHOyal-Silence I'm really not big on the ancient English dungeons and dragon type films. I didn't see the first one and I know that I will pass on this one!

denzel, dezel, denzel...

now, i love myself some DENZEL WASHINGTON and i am glad to see he is flexing his muscles behind the camera in addition to his amazing acting talents...
but i went to see "antwon fisher" after christmas(yes, sorors, with my ex-man!) and after all the hype, i was kind of let down...
don't get me wrong, it wasn't a total bust. it's just that i was expecting a movie that was like, WHOA! and instead, i got a movie that was just alright. clearly, i may be alone in my opinionation because my ex was sitting next to me crying toward the end of the movie!
when you peep the movie, post your opinion and we can comare notes.

Sorhors and Friends of Sigma,

I still haven't gone to the movies! I'm just still really busy because the first Saturday of every month is set aside for Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. (Executive and Chapter meetings) and I have a lot to do this month with some of our community and social activities that I really just didn't have the time to go check out any of the movies on my list. I guess I'll wait until they come out on video! No, I haven't found the time to go to the store to purchase a DVD machine. Like I said, "I'm really busy!
