Need some help from an Alpha Xi
Sorry to kinda crash onto your board and all, but hopefully you'll like me more for it But, a group of girls and I are going to try to bring a national sorority to campus. Well, we read and read and read and for some reason ( ) we fell in love with Alpha Xi Delta!! I mean, the 3 'founders' (me, Erica and Krystal) totally became engulfed in Alpha Xi and have decided that if we could all have our way we will try to get a chapter here. I ran into one of my high school friends and found out she's an Alpha Xi now and she is such a great person and actually loves her GLO w/everything she has!! (Everyone needs that) Also, one of the advisors we spoke w/about getting an expansion paper from the school had both of her daughters go Alpha Xi at Marshall University! (Kinda nifty coincedence) Now we're just trying to get the paperwork in order to contact Alpha Xi headquarters to see if they're even -interested- in bring a chapter here. We will do anything for them..*nods* Any suggestions??? Also, we were hoping that maybe the Ohio University or Ohio State University will 'big sister' us and help us along in the case we do get the go-ahead to form a colony here. Well, thanks for reading Once again, any suggestions??
Want's her own letters,
Kayla

You've read wishinhopin's thread, right? If not, start there.
Next, go to our webpage (cleverly located at www.alphaxidelta.org) and click on support - fraternity staff. The extension coordinator's contact info is on there, and she can help ya out.
And good luck! I've been reading your story on trying to find a Greek home, and I think we're all rooting for you, whether you decide on AXD or not.

More Info...
Tell us more. What school do you go to? Are there any NPC groups or a College Panhellenic on your campus?
I'm so happy that you like Alpha Xi Delta - we have many great chapters in Ohio (and everywhere else).
Whether or not there is a College Panhellenic on your campus dictates where you should go from here.
Good Luck in your Quest.

Fuzzie- Yep, I think we've read and read the official webpage over 50 times just -today-!! Oh, and I've studied wishinhopin's thread Did my homework
AlphaXiGirl- We attend University of Rio Grande (it's in southeastern Ohio, 2 hours from OSU and 30 min's from OU) Oh, and no there are NO NPC groups there. We only have 2 national fraternities. (TKE and ASigPhi)
Well, so far, we need to have an expansion go-ahead from Rio, then we need to contact AXD about getting a colony together...that's what is worrying us. Tomorrow we're getting together and writing to them concerning that. We're all praying about it, that's for sure..

ok, sidebar: WE ROCK!
Kayla- are there any local sororities on your campus? Are you interested in starting a new local sorority and then become national? these are all things to consider. Def. contact Marissa at nationals, shes the girl to talk to! But, also right now, there is a lot going on with AZD, like the expansion at Boise and Methodist and the recent installation at Wingate, plus its in the swing of fall rush, so if they don't get back to your right away, its not anything bad.
Def. get in touch with your student life people, make sure that your school wants greek life...hopefully it isnt one thats "phasing them out".
But we are behind you 100%!
Pink roses for you,
Maggie
