Looking For Sister Input

I am considering an exchange program with another university. I am leaning towards a school with Sigma Alpha (of course!), and I wanted to get some info about the universities.
I am leaning towards schools in Texas, Colorado, South Carolina, Cornell University, or Purdue. Any info about your ag communications/agribusiness programs would be awesome! Feel free to try and convince me to come to a school that isn't listed above

Hello,

I am a Purdue and Sigma Alpha alum. It is a wonderful midwestern school. Purdue is frequently called the Ivy League of the Big Ten. The Animal Science and Agribusiness teachers were exceptional when I attended (10 years ago). A friend of mine works for Purdue and said things have just gone upwards from when I went to school there. The students and staff were friendly and helpful. The culture is different from the east coast but, should be manageable (I'm from New York and Maryland).

My older sister graduated from Cornell University. She received an excellent education and was happy to attend school there. It is in a fairly remote region of New York so, travelling to New York City would not be a quick journey. I believe she would choose Cornell again but, did find it to be very cut throat. She graduated as a Pre-Vet major so, was also in many Animal Science courses.

Both schools are in college towns. Purdue is a much larger school with newer buildings. Cornell is a more historic setting.

Don't overlook Michigan State University. Not only are we a Big 10 school, but the school was founded as a land grant unoversity and is originally an agricultural school. I am an Ag Ed major and we take most of our core classes with Ag Comm students. I don;t know much about our ABM program but I can give you numbers and people to contact if you would like more information!

I am an Ag Engineer, so I can't tell you about your major, but Colorado State is a great school. The campus is in Fort Collins which is right at the base of the foothills, so there's great mountain access if you're into hiking, fishing, ski/snowboarding, etc. The nickname of Ft Collins is "Fort Fun" because there is so much to do. It's not a super huge city, but big enough that there is always something going on.
The college of Ag seems to be really good. I can try and get one of the other girls to tell you more about your field of study if you are interested.
And our Sigma Alpha Chapter is really great!! We just had a girl transfer into our chapter from another state, and she said she was very impressed with our activities and organization. We are very active and do a lot of community service projects.

Don't forget about University of Wisconsin- Madison either. Alpha Tau was recently chartered here. We have a great ag program, and the Madison area is truly an experience.

Cornell is a great school with wonderful programs in both communications and agribusiness, as long as you're willing to put in a lot of work! Ithaca is a fun town, although the weather is not the greatest (we have a special form of precipitation called Ithacation which is a combination of snow, sleet and freezing rain)...but the scenery and geographic location can't be beat - campus itself spans multiple gorges with beautiful waterfalls! The Alpha Psi chapter was just chartered last April 20th, so Sigma Alpha is still relatively new but we're very active and have a lot of fun! Gotta go get back to studying for an Orgo exam, hope this information helps you!

Purdue is a great school! I come from an entirely Boilermaker family...So of course, I am a little prejudiced!
