A Famous Beta?

I was watching "Coach" last night on Nick at Nite and caught something. In the house of Coach Fox (Craig T. Nelson), by the door, there was a paddle that had Beta Theta Pi on it. Is Nelson an alum of Beta's? I thought he was an alum of a chapter, but I can't remember which one.

Thanks!

I too have noticed the pledge paddle, but Craig T. Nelson is not a Beta as far as a I can find.

I've never heard of him as being a member, nor is his name on the list of Famous Betas. A check of our membership directory shows that there was a Beta named Craig Nelson who graduated from Arizona in 1969 but the actor was born in Spokane Washington and I have no verification that he went to Arizona.

Since he is a fairly well known actor, I'm sure that if he was a Beta our GF would be aware of his membership and since nothing from them seems to say that he is, I don't think that he is a member of Beta Theta Pi.

Good catch on the Beta paddle on the set of Coach. Craig Nelson, aka Coach, is not a Beta. It just so has it, that the set director for that sitcom was a Beta and he finaggled his paddle onto the set. That was always a treat to see.

Since then, I have noticed an SAE on Fred Savages sitcom a few years back. I cannot remember the name of his sitcom (which is not on anymore), but I know that Fred and Ben Savage, along with their real father, are all SAE's. Thats pretty cool.

Was reading your list there and my 2nd Cousin's name is on it.. Richard Taylor, VP Walt Disney World. Never knew he was a Beta. Small world
