best skincare/cosmetic brand for problem skin?

Once in a while my skin breaks out, and cannot use any cosmetics because they make the situation worse. I tried Clinique foundation and powder and after one month my skin is full of millet grains and underskin pimples. Can anybody recommend a good brand for problem skin?

I have the same problems. I use Estee Lauder's double matte foundation. I absolutely love it!

You need to look for products that are:

**Oil-free
**Non-comedogenic (won’t clog pores)

And if you have sensitive skin, especially:
*Fragrance free
*Hypo-allergenic

very important.

Also, look for products with Salicylic Acid in them.

Try Prescriptives and Neutrogena.

don't know if it's in your town but I started using Aura Science's skin care system a few months ago and my skin looks and feels awesome.

I had been using Clinique but I think their skin car system is really overrated.

Where can I get Aura Science products?
Contact: I completely feel you. Clinique was so built up, and my skin looked better when I was wearing Cover Girl! What are millet grains, btw?

A good product to use to wash your face is Cetaphil-no fragrence or any of that stuff they use in Clearasil, etc. I also use Estee Lauder cosmetics-expensive, but worth it. Once I got to college I had to buy my own makeup and I definitely noticed a difference in my skin while using "Kmart" store makeup and then when using the good stuff.

I have always had problem skin, but I refuse to go without make-up, so I tried Neutrogena cosmetics and I'll never go back! My skin is now the clearest it's been since I hit puberty!

I have problematic skin, too! I found out that I have oily sensitive skin, so the stuff for oily skin is too rough and the stuff for sensitive skin, to little... I use Clinique, but I use their type 3 soap, type 2 toner and the moisturizer that absorbs oil, too, I forget the name of it. The yellow stuff has oil in it and that causes my skin to break out EVERYTIME! Anything with oil does, actually.
My dermatologist prescribed me stuff and it didn't work, but since i started this combo it works great. I use the superfit foundation and pressed powder from there (it absorbs oil better than loose powder!).
If that doesn't work for you I would not recommend products (makeup) that have salycic acid mainly because it may be too harsh on your skin if you use other acne fighting products.
Good luck!

One word--Proactiv! No need for a prescription and the products get delivered to your door. This will clear up any breakouts.

I've been using Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals foundation kit, and it is the BEST! It's loose powder foundation and really feels like silk on your skin. It covers really well and I also like the eye makeup in this line. They sell it on QVC....and I think they have an infomericial on it. However, it's pretty expensive.....$60 for the starter set and that you moisturize a lot!!

Hope this helps!! I used to have really bad skin cause of puberty, so I know what you're going through....
