Question Weird hair pattern

I have naturally dark hair. I noticed within the last month or so that I am finding random FIRE RED hairs, especially in my bangs.

Anyone had this?
What is the explanation for this?

Do you relax your hair? I know from experience that it has a tendancy to give dark brown hair reddish sorta highlights. If not, it could be genetics. My boyfriend has black hair, but there are certain strands (especially in his goatee) that are a dark, red color.

No. But I do a LOT of blowdrying, in which I heard can effect hair color. However, blowdrying has never done this to my hair before. So I think it's something else.

Hmmm, the only other thing I can think of would be the sun. I know that in the summer, it turned my honey brown highlights (before I dyed it jet black) bright red. If you are getting a lot of exposure to the sun, this could be it.

I think hair just does that sometimes. I have straight blonde hair, but I have occasionally found stray curly hairs, jet black hairs, etc...

Hair is funny stuff... I have straight brown hair, but 2 big locks near my face have started growing in blondish-red and curly. I don't know why it's doing that, but it either needs to stop, or my whole head needs to grow in that way.

Hey, Dionysus, be happy--now you have red highlights for free!

You know, one of my friends from high school used to have stick straight hair, but practically overnight (I'm talking a very short period of time) it turned naturally curly! Not just wavy--extremely curly. Hair really is a strange thing...
