Finals Trauma

OK, I got to take a Linear Algebra final today at 3:30pm. No problem, I get that about 3:35, but no big deal, the professor is usually 5-10 mins late anyway. But the door is closed, so I knock....no answer....knock again....still nothing. I go accross the hall to the department office and ask the secretary if she knows anything about it. he said she hasn't heard anything specifically about it. I go to the professor's office and he's not there. Go back to the dept. off. She asks me what class, and then check the schedule book.....turns out I wasn't 5 mins late I was 48 HOURS late for the final...yes the final was on Tuesday instead of Thursday!!!! She told me that he mentioned to her that he has another final at 7:00 in the morning. So I am getting up in the morning to go to a 7:00 final that I don't even know that I can take. (and I complain about my 8:00 finals)

Dude that sucks. Take tylenol pm at 8 tonight so you can sleep. Your professor should let you take it unless he is a total dick. Good luck.

Yikes! Talk about a nightmare. Did you read the schedule wrong or something? I think the prof should still go ahead and let you take the test...if he's got to be there to give another final anyway, it's no skin off his teeth, now is it?

By the way, the Pi Kapps here just serenaded us and they sounded beautiful! It was really nice.

BEEN THERE DONE THAT!
That happened to me with an Intro to Mass Communications course my Sophomore year of college. I wasn't positive, but swore up and down that the final was on a Thursday! I went to the class and there was the chemistry class that was always before my class still in their final. I waited and waited and finally went to the Student Center to see if there was something posted on the website.
Finally I made my way to the professor's office and he gladly allowed me to take my final. He even put me in a teacher's room and allowed me to keep my books and everything right near by (without concern). Of course I didn't cheat but I was amazed at his flexability.

So, don't feel so bad. I DOES happen! I'm sure your professor will understand! best of luck (I hate Algebra!)

When I took Biology years ago I, the prof told us that we could take the final to better our grades or keep what we had. I studied like $$#@$# and showed up at 8:00 a.m.Monday. I was the only one who showed up. He said that I didn't have to take the test, but I had studied, plus I was shy about speaking up so he gave me the test. It was had 2 pages. I didn't know any of the questions on the 1st page!!

I asked if I could change my mind, he said yes, and I was happy with my C. Biology II, I made a B!

He's not a dick, and I'm pretty sure that he'll let me take the final, because I know he likes me. I'm not sure exactly show I mis read the schedule book, I put it in my calendar about mid semester.
One of my fraternity brothers that I work with is making fun of me because I have forgotten so many appointments the last few week. One of them was an interview with similar results, I had to show up at 8:00 the next morning to see if there was an interview spot open. There was only one at 9:20 so I awas late to my 9:30 class. Then I got the job and missed the staff get-together last night.

I went this morning to take the final. I think he didn't recognize me at first because I just cut off all my hair and shaved my gotee. Anyway he let me take the final and I feel pretty good about it. He said that he had already posted my grade so when I got back I check it and it was a D. I printed it out as a souvenir.
