Red face Insomnia Queen

I've slept 3 and a half hours in 4 days.

Here's some background:
My roommate, whom I live in the same room with at my sorority house, used to be my really close friend until she went crazy a month ago. (One minute we're at the mall, 2 secs later she's yelling at me and saying how since I will never have as much money as her, I act like a spoiled brat to compensate. Then when she tripped in the parking lot, she said it was her attempt to kill herself and she blamed it on me.)
So we don't talk. At all. She doesn't go to class EVER so our favorite game to play goes like this:
12:30- Julie goes to bed.
1 am- PBR (psychobitch roommate) turns on lights
1:01- Julie turns them off.
1:01 and 10 secs- PBR turns on lights, tv, and stereo (Linkin Park, no less) and keeps everything on BLASTING until 5 am.
This is what we've done for the past month, except I don't do it back to her, I just lie in bed and pray that God will take me in my sleep.
Soooooooooooooooooooooo,
At the risk of sounding like a drug addict, SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME SOMETHING I CAN TAKE TO KNOCK MYSELF OUT!!!! Over the counter or something you've made up that works, please help.

I forgot to mention, I finished all my tests today, her finals and everyone elses start tomorrow so I know she's going to be up in the room actually doing something. I'm moving out Monday so if I can get one night's sleep, I'll be the happiest person alive.

Oh you poor thing! I don't really have much advice for you, just lots of sympathy. You could try taking a couple of Tylenol PMs, they always knock me out and they'd also the alleviate the headaches that are probably occuring because of the blaring music and bright lights.
I'm sure you probably don't find it very amusing since you're living it but the way you tell the story about your roomate is hilarious!
Congrats on being done with the semester and just try to hang on a few more days

That sounds awful!! I second the tylenol PM thing. Also, if you don't have any reason to get up with an alarm clock tomorrow morning, maybe consider putting on headphones with some calm music. I need noise to sleep, so it may not help you, but having something a little more soothing in the background might drown out some of the other noise. Also, does anyone you know have an eye mask you could use? Even something like a thick washcloth over your eyes might help block out some of the light until you can get to sleep.

Is there anyone else in your house you can stay with? We always had at least one shacker - maybe there'll be an empty bed you can crash in for the night? It sounds like even if you had to sleep on someone's floor, you'd be able to sleep better than in your own bed.

Good luck!!

You say you live in the sorority house. Does her behaviour bother any of your other sisters? Maybe she'd be a little less noisy if a few of your other sisters complained that she was being loud.

Ahhhh yes, Tylenol PM's, for some reason they don't work on me...........

I don't really have time to type but basically, she's super nice to everyone else. Until they talk to me, then she goes into psychobitch mode again. Everyone knows what she does to me but since she's kind of "fragile" they don't want to get involved cuz they're afraid she'll do something wacked out.
Only 3 days till I go home, and she will soon, too.

Gotta go, I'm off to sleep at the boyfriend's house again........feel kind of bad, he has a final at 8 tomorrow AND he had to help me get my car out of the impound today b/c it got towed. Talk about feeling totally toddler-like and dependent on someone. Happy friday the 13th.

Jules,
What a hateful little b**ch your roommate is! Are you or her living elsewhere next semester or are you stuck with her again?

AAAAAAAAAAAGH! I love and value sleep above almost everything else in this world. Congratulations on not strangling her with speaker wire!
