Star Trek: Nemesis....what did you think?! (*spoiler*)

So, I just got home from the movie. Yes, I'm a closet Trekkie fan (thanks to my dad and his relentless watching of TNG!) Loved the movie...but had two major annoyances.

1. Why oh why did they have to kill Data?! He is the BEST Star Trek character BY FAR!!!! I was so upset when the ship blew up....and I kept waiting for it to be revealed that it wasn't actually Data, but B-4 (which it could have been....Data and Picard never talked on the Romulan vessel). But, alas it was not him.

2. Why didn't they have the Troi/Riker Betazed wedding?! That would have been the *perfect* ending to the movie.....especially to see Worf there, in full *costume* (or lack thereof!), scowling! Haha...I can see it now!

Oh well, the movie was still great! My fave line in it had to be "You have the bridge....Mr. Troi"!

So what did y'all think of it?!

I too am a HUGE Trekkie fan and I too saw the movie last night.

When Data died I was soooo devastated. He has been by far my favorite character of all time. I would have rather seen the captain die in battle over Data.

At the end of the movie I too wanted it to end with the Betazoid wedding. Throughout the movie I actually thought it would end that way so I was a little dissapointed that it didn't.

I also enjoyed seeing Wesley Crusher in the opening wedding scene. He was always one of my favorite charaters. Although I would have prefered it if he had been part of the movie.

Overall I liked the movie. Of course I would like the movie no matter what because I love TNG. I have even read all the books in the series. I love all the Star Trek crews but The Next Generation will always be my favorite.

Wow...I think I missed Wes in the opening wedding scene!!! How did I miss that?! I love Wes...he's a great character...too bad he wasn't in more of the movie!

I too was thinking throughout the movie that the Betazoid wedding would be the end....with Worf standing there, naked, arms crossed...with that "pissed off" expression he gets all the time! Too bad...it would have been a hilarious ending!

Wes was sitting next to his mother during Picard's speech. I was excited to see him there. Every movie that comes out I always hope that Wes is in it.

The appearance of Janeway was also cool.

Wow...can't believe I didn't see him! I agree that Janeway's apperance was cool too...I'm hoping that the next movie will be with the Voyager cast (my husband read somewhere that this movie was the last for the TNG cast...and really....can you have another movie without Data?!)

I agree - as long as you weren't wearing pointed Spock ears when you asked, they shouldn't have called you a dork.
