January 2003 Recruitment

Which chapters are going through formal recruitment in January? How long are your recruitment periods?

Eta Psi at Valpo will be doing recruitment the Tuesday through Saturday of the first week back from break, with Bid Day on Sunday. This is much more sane than when we were locals and recruitment was almost three full weeks (ack!).

If memory serves a lot of Northeastern chapters (not that we have too many of those

) do January formal rush. I know Boston University and Wagner College are both January and I think Allgheny is too but I'm not 100% sure. Does it give you a list anywhere on Pride Online?
Am I wrong or is listed in the summer Adelphean? Don't they give
the chapters'addresses for recs and the months that they have formal recruitment?
I don't know what's wrong with me that I can't remember that right now. I'll check tonight for you...

We don't have spring formal rush for NPC. My chapter, we have COR events throughout the semester. Like 2 COR events in Febuary, 2 in March, and maybe one in early April. We stake, chalk, put up/hand out fliers, and have an ad in the school's paper for each COR event. We have a theme for the event, have snacks, etc. Last spring we got 14 new members during COR. So it turned out well last spring. Good luck with your formal recruitment in Spring.

P.S. We initiated 12 girls for fall semster (formal recruitment + COR events). We are happy with the results. We got 12 awesome additions.

Well, the Adelphean used to be online but who knows where it is now.

I can't find my Spring or Summer 2002 issues... I know they're here somewhere, dangit, but they're hiding among piles of stuff. -sigh-

allegheny has formal in january...

we're really excited, this should be a wonderful recruitment for us, i will definitely keep you all updated!
first nite is january thirteenth, philanthropy day is the fourteenth, skit nite is the fifteenth (first day of class) and pref is the seventeenth... with bid day and runout on the eighteenth! yay!
