Hugs to all you college students...
BlazerCheer e-mailed us with the subject line "please make me feel better"! She has a very bad cold and has hurt her shoulder cheerleading and the stuff the infirmary's giving her isn't working. Finals are looming...she doesn't have a sorority big sister to make her feel better and I want to hold her now!--but I can't until Dec. 17.
So here'a a biiiiiig hug to all you students who are feeling the stress of these last weeks of the semester. Y'all take care of yourselves and don't overdo the late nights studying.

I'll second that motion too!
Final exams are in the past for me, but I remember how stressful they were. I'm sending positive thoughts everyone's way while they go through the last few weeks of the semester!

Aww, thanks Carnation!
I've got my very first law school final tomorrow and I'm not as freaked out as I thought I would be. Of course, I've moved home and am living with my mommy, so that always helps
Good luck to everyone!

Good luck everyone!
I don't mean to get too maternal here, but please try and get at least SOME sleep each night during finals. Sometimes the two extra hours of sleep are worth much more than two sleep-deprived hours of studying.
Be a bit gentle with yourselves, if you are then you may be able to prevent the horrible flu that always happens during Christmas break when you finally let yourself slow down for a minute and your body catches up with you.
Okay, no more lecturing. Wait no, one more thing, I recommend drinking some tea instead of coffee some times. It prevents you from getting that sick, nauseous feeling that comes on at 3:00am after drinking way too many strong coffees.
Good luck, and be careful. And not to be too subversive, but as a woman who regularly hires others I have never had the occasion or desire to ask for a candidate's Sociology 310 grade.
good luck,
violets

Hugs to all our GC collegians!
I've got to repeat what Violets just said--please, please, please try to get some sleep! All the studying in the world isn't going to help if you sleep through the first hour of your final (yep, speaking from long-ago personal experience here! Make sure that your alarm clock is working )
Do whatever you can to take care of yourself, whether it's stocking up on some extra fruit in your room or getting a bottle of water instead of more caffeine. Take a few minutes to put all of your finals, meetings, work schedule and whatever else on your personal calendar.
Good luck y'all!
Christin
