Keyword spamming is essentially putting words in an auction just so it'll turn up in a search and get more hits.
For example, say someone's selling a set of bath and body works stuff. If in their auction, they use other words that have absolutely nothing to do with the auction but are searched (such as prade, gucci, calvin klein- pretty much anything), their auction will come up when someone searches for that word. Basically it's just an annoyance for people trying to find something. Some people try to get tricky, by putting all these frequently searched words in their auction using white writing on white background (so they're not "visible" but will be searchable). Fortunately, there's enough ebay savvy people out there who catch on to this and report them (ebay is a user-enforced site of sorts- it wont' do anything about auction violations until someone reports them).
In this example, the guy basically had the entire greek alphabet written in his listing, instead of just the appropriate letters. This happens every once in awhile in the fraternity and sorority listings, if i see them I report them.
In a nutshell they're an annoying trick of the seller to make their auctions come up in searches where they otherwise wouldn't. It's against ebay rules b/c it's a huge annoyance, and if not prohibited could get very out of hand.
