Hazing and what its not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just recently our house was accused of hazing by a sorority next door. It spread quickly around the system. We have strict rules against hazing as well as all other fraternities around us. Except we actually follow them. Not a day goes by these days that I don't see a form of hazing that goes on around us (in other houses). Not going to name names cause I know how it feels to be accused. However girls (you know who you are if you read this), don't accuse a house of hazing unless you are for certain. A formal investigation by the IFC as well as our nationals occured and we were found to be innocent by both. Imagine that girls!

Well, now you've ruined a relationship between our house and yours. Way to go! Why not pick on the house that makes their guys sit and look at their cross every night in front of the house while being yelled at. By definition thats hazing. Tattle on them.

Long story short people, in our world you are guilty till proven innocent. Remember that. We live in a society where even your fellow greeks are looking to hurt you. Be afraid...

While I think the situation did turn out very badly... I do think if their intentions were good by turning you in then they did what was right. With what we're seeing on other campuses -- people getting killed through hazing and the administration responding by eradicating the Greek System.. Well we all have to be vigilant. We don't want to have to suffer for someone else's stupidity.

Unfortunately in society (not in the courts) we are guilty until proven innocent. I'm sure for the next 4 or 5 years you'll have a rough relationship with that group next door.

It's really a shame that around the world they have us turning eachother in just to save our own skin. This is what it's become though.

The sad thing is, at my school, hazing does take place in certain forms in just about every sorority other than mine. Mine is so newly established, we refrain from doing things that could be really fun (i.e. scavenger hunts) just because someone somewhere somehow could possibly contrue them as being hazing activities.
