Hey KatieQ! Well this might not sound positive...but I have totally been in your shoes! Infact after my second year I (like a fellow sister of mine) was suspended from University (and any OTHER University in Canada) for a year. Imagine having to tell your parents that? At first, I got the "Oh, it'll be okay" but after I guess I looked calm, my father said that I should have spent more time worrying about school instead of the "letters" on my clothes

So after a year I was let back into school and all I can say is, you don't appreciate what you have until it is gone! I know it is only school...but it is important

So, calmly tell your parents that you got a D in Chemistry, after you have found out about your scholarship. If you get to keep the scholarship, but still have the D, its better to tell them about the D and not that you "think" you have lost the scholarship. And like James said, when you are picking out your courses for next year, maybe only take a couple of the "hard" courses a year (I don't know how your school does regestry) and maybe set aside party time, once a month. Or every other weekend. ITs hard, b/c it seems your friends and sisters can go out EVERY night and do well in school, but it only seems that way. In my second year I was afraid to miss a party, sometimes out till like 4 on school days. So needless to say if I did make it to class, I wasn't paying any attention. This year, I rarely went out. I remember partying at my sorority ball and at Christmas, and spring break. Besides that, I tried really hard to stay home or do "little" social things like movies or coffee. May sound boring, but it is sooo worth it when you don't have to worry all summer about the fall!

I know this was long, but keep your chin up and I hope it all works out!
