Question Hair Suggestions?

I had highlighted and cut my hair over the summer (went from layers to one length) then I dyed back over the highlights but my hair has grown, and I want to keep some of the length without it being too BLAH. I'm trying to keep it longer so I can work with it for my wedding next June---but it is so thick and when it gets to this length it bugs the heck outta me because it just hangs there in sort of a block.

Any suggestions for cuts or styles?

First, have long, subtle layers cut just around your face (to frame it). This will reduce some of the weight around the face, where it matters most. Also, your hair will still be long so it won't interfere with wedding hairstyles.

Second, have your colorist do dimensional hair color... (s)he'll know what it is. Basically, it's when you have it lighter on top and darker on the underside... the dark usually hangs out a bit in the back. It looks really natural and is very popular right now.

I agree! A few slight layers may help with the weight of the hair. My hair is the same way. Right now it's all one length but it gets really limp looking cuz it's grown out. I'm probably just going to do a trim, but since you're doing this for a wedding I'd do the layers and see how you like them. If you hate them at least you have 6+ months till the wedding. Coloring your hair now is also good because then you'll know what you LIKE and DISLIKE before the big day. And if you really like it, it'll be about time to touch it up come closer to the wedding!

Good luck!
