Being a big bro

As a new chapter we lack traditions.. One thing is that we have NOTHING that we traditionally do with our little bros. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.

One things that's done in our chapter is we have "family" dinners. For instance, last year I went out to a local Chinese place that had just opened with my pledge dad, his new pledge son, my pledge son, and our girlfriends (girlfriends can have their own night alone if you think it'd be good for brotherhood). This way, you're not on the spot to entertain one person all by yourself, and it's really a lot of fun.

Another tradition we have is that on the day of activation, each candidate's dad gives him a sheet of paper with some quotes (motivational, humorous, etc.), which they then ask every active in the chapter to sign. It was very nice as a candidate to get so many encouraging words the day I truly became a brother.

So those are just two suggestions. I'd be interested in hearing what kinds of (legal!) traditions other chapters have...
