Hey everyone!

I am a member of the Delta Omega chapter of AOII, at Murray State University. Lately, several of our girls have suggested we find a couple new cheers. I was wondering if anyone had some suggestions. Thanks!

Unfortunately I am rusty on AOII cheers since I graduated from college quite a few years ago, but welcome to GC!

Thanks for your reply! Hopefully, someone can help. My chapter is tired of the same spirit cheers we've been using for a while, and I thought rather than make up new ones, we could find some that other chapters use. Thanks again!

We use this cheer a lot when it comes to showing AOII spirit! It goes like this:

AAAAAA O
(clapping for the rest)
Alpha Alpha Alpha O
the only only way to go
number number one are we
best of all sororities
AOII AOII til we die Hey!

This one is fun too:
A-L-P-H-A give me an O-M-I-C-R-O-N P-I, AOII, Alpha Alpha Omicron Pi

we use these 2 for intramurals and it goes

Don't gimme no meat, no meat
Don't gimme no bread, no bread
Just gimme that Pi, whooo!
That AOPi

the second one u need a loud person to initiate the cheer and the sister respond with...

Loud: Gimme an A!
Sisters: A! You got your A, you got your A!
Loud: Gimme an O!
Sisters: O! You got your O, you got your O!
Loud: Gimme a Pi!
Sisters: Pi! You got your Pi, you got your Pi!
Everyone: NOW HUSH!...Cause ya'll wanna be one of us!

another one goes...

A! A! AOPi!
Roses, Pandas til we die
Sheaf of wheat is our pin
AOPi til the end
Sisterhood we love our chapter
AOPi forever after
Red, white colors true
AOPi lets you be you!

Thank you so much, Jess! We use a couple of those, but I love the "Gimme an A" cheer. It is so cute!

My favorite that we use goes like this:

(Someone starts) It's like A (Everyone chimes in) is for Alpha
Meaning first and the best
It's like O is for Omicron, now here comes the rest
It's like Pi, 3.14
Can you stand the test?
It's like AOPi, now you know why... that it's like (repeat)

The second time we end with: It's like AOPi, til the day we die!

The gimmie an A cheer was recited during formal recruitment to our chapter, when Melissa Lang the CC was up here and she taught us that one! I haven't heard that one before, I'll definitely have to relay it to the girls...Thank you!

We do the Roses, Pandas cheer too, and we also do this one:

AOII is NUMBER ONE!

and we sometimes do
