Wink Stop LYING!!!!

Ha, I knew that would get your attention, another question, are ya'll tired of me yet? Before you did your research, did the hype behind other sororities, such as being more ,for lack of a better term, known in the general publics eye have a precedent over what was right for you? I hope ya'll (Yes I am from Alabama) can read between the lines, I am not trying to call any names here. I just know that if I say I want to join a sorority the first thing out of someone's mouth is 1913 or 1908, trying to be discrete here, am I learning yet?

Much Love
Traci

Umm... yes and no.

Yes in that the only sororities I really new anything about were AKA and Delta until I got to high school. There, one of my friends was all about Zeta even way back when.

When I got to college, I knew I wanted to be an XYZ, but my (then) best friend's mom was an ABC and told me that there was no way I should ever consider becoming an XYZ. I'd always respected her mother's judgement, so I went about learning all I could about ABC. When I was trying to undo the damage of a very "social" first year of college, each semester I brought my grades up I said I was "doing it for ABC".

So what happened?

I got shown the blue and white light, and I've never looked back since.

Edited to say that no, we're not tired of your questions or of you, Traci.

Even though I knew little about the sororities, I remember when during my freshman year in college when I would tell people about being interested in a sorority (but never say which one - unlike most freshman interests), someone would always say something like "God, I hope its not Zeta" or "You don't want to pledge Zeta" and give me negative reasons why. That made me want to further my research about the sororities, and found that Zetadom was the one for me, and nothing else!! People say negative things because they don't research, but assume! So, when freshman interests come up to me, I do advise that they do their research because they just started their college life, and being part of a sorority is a life-time committment.
Just adding in my $19 and .20 in....

ZZZZZPHI PHI PHI!!!!

I was never into the hype life and the popular crowd . Even though, most of my friends did pledge AKA or Delta. After researching four sororities objectively, Zeta Phi Beta is the best sorority for me.
