Why won't my PC let me download a photo in jpg form?

My Dell Image Expert wont open any photos I try and download.

I do not know if I can help you, but this is what I do.

I can't stand using any of the photo software programs. I use AOL. If I wanted to change the file type, I'd open the file in AOL, click on "file" and then "save as." On the drop down menu, choose "jpeg" and then click enter. I don't know if AOL will recognize the files you have though.

When you first receive/download these images and are saving them, look and see what type of file you are saving them as.
