Sorry, I wasn't to clear was I. I was looking for more of what other sororities and frats do about voting for policies, procedures, rules, etc. For example, what do other sorority/frats do for members that are eligible to vote but are not at the national meeting. Also do they vote by member, chapter, etc. Additionally, do sorority/frats give the chapters that aren't represented physically at the national meeting a chance to vote, if so how?
Hope that helps. I am really anxious to see all the responses everyone has.

Zeta Tau Alpha requires a representative from all collegiate chapter to attend the National Convention. All financial information must be cleared through the Fraternity before collegians are permitted to vote. Otherwise, they cannot attend the meetings. In addition, Province & District Presidents must attend or send a proxy. Alumnae Chapters may send a representative and, if in attendance, vote on offical business.
Last year I was proud to represent my alumnae chapter at Convention and participate in the meetings. It was the first time Tallahassee had been represented in this manner. Our business meetings are incredible events - full parlimentary procedure, a parade of flags for each chapter, etc. It is truly a spectacle.
