I like tatoos on men. It really depends on what they are and where they are located.

Not usually a huge fan but I sometimes like them if they are well done and discreet.

Love 'em, love 'em, love 'em -- IF they're done with thought and creativity.
If you're getting something that means something to you personally and it's something you've thought about and is well designed and well executed, awesome.
"Metallica ROX" tattoos, etc. are pretty much a turnoff though.

in general, no. But there are exceptions... I think it's cool when military men or fraternity men have their letters or branch (ie. USMC, USAF) tattoed DISCREETLY on their upper arm. No big ol display, just a couple of letters.
My boyfriend has a tattoo of an @ sign on his shoulder (it isn't near as dorky as it sounds...there is a story behind it) - and while I don't particularly care for it, it could be so very much worse.

On certain guys tattoo's are VERY sexy. On other's, bad placement and bad taste make it very UNsexy.

I agree. While I have friends who have huge tattoos, good for them. And my brother has a tatoo of his fraternity and a cross on the inner calf... it's not too big... and it's got his letters. AND he can hide it at family gatherings and compand picnics (someone always told me that you dont want to get somthing that you can't hide at work [or stuff] where you have to be upright and responsible worker - not that you arent if you have one... it's just the look). I'd be concerned if my friend Joey came to company picnic and everyone saw the huge blue devil on his right shoulder blade (from HS) or the one on his shoulder, and lower back.. NOT GOOD.
Besides, I hate to say this.. but I wouldn't be able to bring home a guy who had huge / a lot of / or even remotely visible tatoos home to mommy and daddy...

I LOVE tattoos, if they are nice, well done, and well placed (tattoos on the face = BAAAAD idea). A good tattoo can be very sexy.
Of course, I'm biased because I have two. I think I feel a sort of "kinship" with other tattooed people.

I agree with that. I like smaller ones, not ones that take up the whole back, or whatever. This guy in my English class over the summer had this tatoo around his upper bicep. He was in the military for 4 years. Man that was sexy, and it didn't hurt that he was a freakin hottie and his biceps were muscular.
If I got a tatoo, I would get one somewhere discrete. Maybe on the small of my back. I think either a dolphin or lion (he's ours mascot symbol).
