Happy Founders' Day!
Hi ladies,
I just wanted to take this opportunity to wish you a happy Founders' Day! Here is to 130 years of sisterhood and friendship.
Can't wait to hear what is inside the capsul at the Alpha chapter house. Hopefully we'll get an update sometime this weekend.
Anyone doing anything exciting for Founders' Day?

Yay, Happy Founders Day Alpha Phi!!
I, for one, cannot wait to hear what is in the capsul! I would like to see pics or video footage, since I won't be there, but I don't think that is very likely.
As for celebrating, I will be in Corpus w/o any Phi's that I know personally. I just got a list of A-Phi's in the area from HQ and I do not think it would be wise to try and set something up with a couple days notice.

Well the Time Capsule was a big deal in Syracuse this weekend. Apparently three TV stations covered it and so did the local papers.
Unfortunately the box which was metal had rusted and was cracked. So anything inside had rotted. One local paper reported a crushed milk bottle however I heard it was mostly filled with...well bugs!
Many of the women on the IEB were hoping to find a new secret ceremony.

That is so disappointing! Can you imagine leaving a time capsul behind only to ahve it crack and have everything rust out? So sad!
Miss you all and hope you had a happy Founder's Day!
Aphigal, call me tomorrow...we have a lot to catch up on but it was too late for me to call you tonight!

Oh, that is so disappointing to hear about the capsule. I bet there were many special things left behind for the Alpha Phi’s of today. I wonder if there was anything that could be salvaged.
I wish you all had a wonderful Founder's Day.
I love Alpha Phi.

What a bummer that the capsule had rusted! It makes me wonder if the capsules that many people buried at the turn of the millennium a few years ago will suffer the same fate.
As for Founder's Day, all us Georgia Alpha Phi Alums are going to a Founder's Day Brunch in Atlanta where Crista V., our International President will be speaking. My mom is coming in from Houston to go along with me (she's an Alpha Phi too!).
Happy Founder's Day to all my A-Phi Cyber-Sisters! I am going to be meeting APhiGal here in Atlanta in November (can't wait!).
