Does this sound fun?

Here's a mixer idea that came over our national listserv, I'd like some opinions from the ladies out there if they think this is a fun idea. what do you all think?

********************
The theme was a PJ night/Sleep Over/Slumber Party/Milton Bradley Olympics (yeah, I know it's a lot). Everyone came in their PJ's. We then divided everyone into co-ed teams, and picked names for the teams. For example, each of our teams had 2 brothers and one XYZ, . Then, we set up a bracket system, and each team played Twister, with the winning team getting points. Runner up teams also got points (but less, obviously). Then, do the same with Jenga. Then Scattergories, and Charades.
Be sure that you do this with plenty of time, because with so many people it became hard to control everyone and move smoothly from round to round, and event to event (we only got to the semi-finals of Jenga). The team with the most points at the end of the night, theoretically, gets sung to by the rest of the teams at school, in the most populated area during Common Hour.
Even though we didn't finish all the events, we had a great time and the XYZ's are practically begging us to have more mixers like that one.

Thumbs up

I like it. We had the "slumber party/pj" theme a couple of times and it was fun (sometimes better than other parties since peole were very comfy)

The games sound like fun as well. It would be a good way to get to know each other a lot better.

LOL, Last month we had a TKE exchange, and I begged the social chair to make it a pajama theme. Would have saved me some trouble, but I was ultimately outvoted.

I've been to formals-=-not greek-- but my old boss--a screenwriter/director has an annual formal-- Scrabble Party. 16 tables of 4 play, you have 2 minutes for your turn and it keeps advancing until 2 people are left and play for possession of this 6ft tall hideuous trophy for the year. Its hysterical and lots of fun.

Sounds like a great Idea! It keeps people busy and a great chance to mingle and work together and have some fun in a laid back enviroment.
Sounds Like a Winner to me Hey GMUteke Did anyone wind up winning since you all didn't finish all the events?
