Chloe,
Congratulations on your bid to become a member of our treasured sorority.
I am so happy you shared your experience with us on GC, and I'm even happier that you have become a part of Alpha Delta Pi! Now, you've got a lot more posting to do on this site, we all want to hear about your life as an ADPi at USC. Your Alpha experience, your first homecoming, your Diamond Days, your Diamond Sister, Your Pride activities, all of these things! Welcome again Chloe, we're so happy for you, and for us!
Loyally,
violets
PI LOVE CHLOE!

Thanks so much guys!!!!!!!!!
I have had the most amazing time of my life in the week or so since bid day. All of my sisters are the most amazing people and I love my house to death! I am so happy to be a part of this sisterhood!
Now, on to a more serious question. We had our Alpha Ceremony the other day where we got our pledge pins. That was very exciting and I had been wearing my pin every day like I was supposed to. Except last night, when we went to a party, I lost my pin!!! I wasn't drinking or anything, so I know i didn't do anything stupid with it, but I think it just fell off when I was dancing because the clasp on mine had been a bit shady since day one. What should I do? Is it ok to tell them that I lost it or will I get in trouble? I feel so dumb, because I lost it already and I just don't want to look like a bad Alpha. What should I do???

chloe,
its great to hear that your experience as an adpi is going so great for you. i am sorry to hear about your alpha pin though. i know they can be easy to lose because when i was an alpha the clasp kept coming undone. i think you should talk to your president about it though and explained what happened. i'm sure she will understand since they are very hard at staying on. and if you tell her now since it just happened she will be happy that you were mature about it all and it would share that you really do care about it. don't worry you aren't a bad alpha at all for losing it because like i said before they are very easy to lose. i hope you have a great week!!!
pi love,
kayla

Chloe:
Don't worry about it honey, you are definitely not a "bad Alpha" because your pin fell off.
Just tell your Alpha Educator or your Diamond sister they'll get you a new one right away I'm sure.
I actually love the look of our Alpha pin, I wish our recognition pin looked similar.

Congrats Chole...as for your alpha pin...dont worry about it...as a chapter we found out well that the clasp doesnt always work...this is why later on most people add guards to their pins so they dont loose them.

Whitney,
My congratulations are tardy, but just as sincere as the ones above! My college years were all the sweeter because of ADPi, and my life afterwards is all the more pleasant because of my ADPi sisters!

Don't worry about your Alpha pin - you can replace a pin, but not a sisterhood!
Pi Love,
Melissa

Thanks, violets! I thought yours was great! "Honeychile" was my childhood nickname, so it's easy for me to remember. I use an Alphie avatar on another message board!
Tonight I hear how my chapter (Alpha Iota) did - I'm on pins & needles!

honeychile,
I hope your chapter did well! I know that feeling of pins and needles, it's nerve wracking because it's so out of your control...and you want them all to be happy with the work they put into recruitment.
I hope you chapter is welcoming their wonderful new Alphas into our sisterhood as I write this post.
