Question Am I allowed?

I was wondeing, I am transfering schools next fall, and this last year, my freshman year, I went to a small private school where I rushed and pledged a local soroity. Next year, I am going to a much larger school and was wondering if I was allowed to ruah and pledge a national sorority. I was thinking I could because one, the local sorority, is just an organization sponsored by the school, just like being on a sports team, but they call themselves a sorority or fraternity. Please help! Thank you!

If you do not already belong to a National Panhellenic Conference sorority, then you are eligible to pledge one, despite your oast involvement with a local one. The same would is also true if you wanted to join one of the sororities of the National Pan-Hellenic Council Sororities (i.e. historically have black membership).

The local sorority would be outside of these systems and therefore you should be eligible.
