Help...needs...energy..NOW!
I've been drained lately. What's worse I used to be VERY hyper as a kid, now I'm the opposite.
Any suggestions for fuel (besides caffiene)?

Sweetarts
I don't drink coffee,so when I need a pick me up I eat Sweetarts (in the Roll not in the box). I pretend like they are No Doze (I don't take those either, lol). It works.

PS- They really work, I'm not kidding.

Maybe you're dehydrated. That's what my voice teacher says anyways...water is so essential to everything. Try that and the sleeping. Not only 8 hours, but keep to the same schedule...even on weekends, which I know sucks. But if you go to bed at 12 one night go to bed at 12 every night. Don't do 10 one night and 3 the next etc etc. You circadian rhythms get messed up.

I have a lot more energy when I work out regularly -- like 5 or 6 days a week, for at least an hour a day. Either that, or I've just grown warped from spending too much time at the gym...
You know what's weird? I always have a lot of energy early in the week -- like on Mondays, I'll come home from work, go to the gym, go grocery shopping, do laundry and be fine. Come Thursday, though, I'm lucky if I can drag myself to the gym and stay awake all evening. Maybe I need more than 5 hours of sleep every night...

When I study if I start to feel tired I just spend a few minutes lifting weights... That seems to get me going again.

I have to agree with everyone who says exercise here... it is the amazing cure-all, well maybe not quite. I find, though, that if I have a headache, am tired, crampy, grouchy, etc... exercise always helps, even if it is just a brisk walk.
Also, make sure that you sleep enough but DON'T SLEEP TOO MUCH! That always makes things worse for me.
And, oh yeah, on the Sweet Tart note... Pixy Stix and Mountain Dew (caffeine in that one though) work wonders!

Another vote for exercise -- it works wonders for me too. Even just going for a short walk will re-energize me for the rest of the day, or at least long enough to get things done or stay awake until I can take a nap.
Do make sure you're getting enough sleep, though -- I've found that whenever I'm busy, I need about 4 hours MORE of sleep a night just to stay healthy.

Only 40 mg of caffeine/8oz-----------Green Tea! I swear it is an "energy tonic". There are several studies on it's properties that indicate it is quite healthy to consume.
