I think you mean John Mayer. He sounds sorta like Duncan Shiek. He sings that song "No Such Thing" that goes "I just found out there's no such thing as the real world, just a lie you've got to rise above."
I love him so far...I really want that CD. I am broke right now though, which is why that song is relevant in my life right now! Ha! I swear that song is now my anthem!

Skinny geeky looking kid that wants to be the next Dave Mathews and appeals to the college age crowd (mostly chicks).
Big on the Southern College Circuit and has a good publicist now that is putting him on the Soon-To-Be-Big, Talk Show, Magazine circuit. You know the one, where people with only one movie behind them can become household names .
I know some ZTA from the South that dies for him.
(edited to put in smiley )

John Mayer's music is very mellow, and yes, reminiscent of Dave Matthews, yet more poppy, IMHO. I enjoy his music very much, and it is soothing to drive too. His lyrics are funny and romantic. He seems like he would be a great boyfriend, and yes, I think he is cute, in a boy next door sort of way! (And for the record, I go to school in the south, but I am a northern girl at heart. And I will be at John's first concert near Tampa!)

At first I thought this guy is like Geroge Michael for some reason. But, like a few weeks ago I saw him perform on Jay Leno or something. Kind of mellow for my taste, BUT ohhh weee!!! That guy is hot hot hot!
